Product Description
This is a vintage Turkmen headdress - Sinsile. This piece has two layers of small stamped metal plates with attached dangles. The top row has a center piece and two end pieces set with red glass bezels, and fire gilding . There is a three tier hanging pendent - Tenecir - set with red glass bezels, and fire gilded on either end. It is mounted on cloth backing with a row of seed beads along the top edge.
This headdress measures 15 inches across. From top of center pendant to bottom fringe in center measures 8 1/2inches. It has a total length on side is 23 inches.
Headdress is in an uncleaned and polished condition.
